If you have any questions about Life Coaching or the services I offer then hopefully the FAQ’s below will answer your questions. If you have any questions that arent covered below then please feel free to connect with me.

Discovery calls are free and last typically 90-minutes. I look at it as an opportunity to provide you with a very valuable experience of coaching. My coaching style is unique, loving and powerful, and so Discovery Calls are an opportunity for you to experience that, ask me questions about coaching and walk away with some key insights after our call.
My life coaching practice cannot and will not survive without confidentiality. I consider each and every session to be contained in a sacred space of confidentiality and safety and I hold a lot of integrity in that. All calls and everything discussed is completely and strictly confidential.
Every one of Elsie’s clients experiences their sessions differently. All sessions begin with a brief centering and time for intention setting, then we dig into your session content and then we always will end by having you commit to different action steps based on what came up for your during your session. Elsie’s role is to lovingly support you in moving forward with your goals. She is there to listen and guide you to your own answers, yet isn’t afraid to call you out on your bullsh*t in order to help you break through your blocks and limiting beliefs.
Prior to each regular session you are expected to fill out a Session Prep form and submit this within 12 hours of each session. This form helps you review your wins and challenges of the past week, keep track of accountability and think about what you want to focus on during your next session. During your session, it is suggested that you show up on time and be ready to work! This hour that you set aside is for your upliftment and growth which means the more committed you are to showing up and giving 100% the faster you will see results!
For the most part I let my clients pick the focus of their sessions. I find that we usually vary between many different topics depending on what they would like to work on that week. One week we could be totally business focused and then the next week we could focus on relationship in your life that isn’t going well. By being able to work on different topics, it allows for transformation in all areas of your life to fully occur.
Each session lasts approximately 1 hour, however my ultimate goal is bringing the session to completion which, on occasion, can take a little longer than an hour.
That depends entirely on what your goals are, the kind of progress being made throughout the sessions, and your level of commitment and willingness to do the work. I typically offer packages of 6 and 12 months because I feel that true, sustained transformation takes time with small, steady steps.
This isn’t a measure of cost, it’s a measure of the value of the goals that you are putting at stake. We will discuss the value of what it would mean for you to be able to achieve your top external and internal goals and then put together a coaching plan that would work best for you. I like to work with my clients so that our contracts and payment schedules are a win/win for us both.
Let me be clear. You don’t need a coach in your life. Nobody needs a coach. The question is do you want a coach? Personally, I love having a life coach, because I love having someone who believes in me. I love having someone that can help hold me accountable to a bigger vision. I love having someone who doesn’t believe in my fears or the limiting stories I tell myself that keep me held back from having truly authentic success.  I know that when I don’t have a coach and that structure of support, I can get stuck in all of my “crap” just as easily as the next person.  Personally, I think it is hard to be a good coach, without investing in a good coach. Because of that both Jonny and I have been investing in our own life coaches for years and our lives wouldn’t be as successful as they are right now without them – guaranteed. So is Life Coaching right for you? Well, this is your life and your success and your happiness we are talking about – so really the question is, how badly do you want it and what are you willing to do to get there?
Elements of coaching can be compared to therapy but much of it is very different. I am not diagnosing or treating mental illness. That is not a coach’s role. Coaching focuses on addressing fears and providing strategies and tools that help break through obstacles that are preventing you from leading the life you love. Occasionally, these obstacles are emotional in nature, and when those come up, I rely on my Spiritual Psychology background to help navigate those blocks and reach a level of healing that may have been needed in order to move forward towards your goals. However, if the emotional or psychological needs of my clients are more related to mental illness, I will refer them to a therapist, who can provide them with the care that they need.
Coaches come in all shapes and sizes, all price points, and all levels of quality. Some coaches, such as Tony Robbins, charge up to $1 million dollars a year or more and have a waiting list of clients 1+ years long. Ultimately, you need to find the coach that fits well with your personality, matches your price point, and provides the right kind of support based on your goals. A good coach will not be your best friend, they will however be your advocate, pushing you to be the best you can be, because they see the best in you and are working to bring it forward. You may need to connect with multiple coaches to see which one feels right.
I coach in person, over the phone, and over Skype/FaceTime. Whichever works best for you.
I currently work with clients from around the globe. You can see my map at the bottom of the Life Coaching page.
Spiritual Psychology is the study and practice of conscious awakening and focuses on uncovering and healing unresolved issues that stand in the way of that awakening. Please read a fuller description on the Life Coaching page. You can also find out more information from the University of Santa Monica’s website.
Transformation = creating sustained positive change over time. I believe that, while it is possible to transform your life in a moment, a day, or a weekend, for most people those moments only provide the springboard towards change. If you don’t take consistent action then you eventually will start to lose the momentum and progress made. Transformational Life Coaching focuses on consistent, small steps over time to see real change come forward. Please read a fuller description on the Life Coaching page.
My coaching work is based on a mixture of Spiritual Psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a combination I use to help facilitate you into realizing the true power of your Authentic Self.  Through this approach, you can expect to experience a deeper connection with yourself, more easily identify your life’s purpose, and achieve enhanced levels of success and fulfillment in all areas of your life.
When I was going through a very painful divorce many years ago I fell in love with a quote from a Minnesota hip-hop group called Atmosphere that said “When life gives you lemons, you paint that shit gold!” At the time, I started a blog and named it Turning Life Gold as a means of giving myself an opportunity to process what I was going through while also updating friends and family. The name means a lot to me and it felt like the perfect name for my coaching business because that’s what I’m doing with my life – Turning It Gold! And I work to help my clients to help turn theirs gold as well. You can read more about the history of the name on the My Story page.
There is a ton of fantastic information out there on coaching. I would recommend just searching on Google to see what you find. You can find more information about me throughout this website or the social media community. If there are any other questions you have please feel free to send me an email, or set-up a Discovery Call and we can talk about how I may be able to serve your needs.

“If you don’t change your beliefs, your life will be like this forever. Is that good news?”
