Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) is a low-cost alternative to insurance. They are a membership-based, nonprofit ministry through which hundreds of thousands of members voluntarily share to pay each other’s medical bills. 

My husband and I LOVE them and switched to them when trying to find an affordable health insurance for two entrepreneurs that wasn’t cost prohibitive.   We couldn’t find insurance that wouldn’t cost us an arm and a leg to pay the premiums every month (and then would only cover 60-80% of our medical bills) leaving us with potentially thousands of dollars in additional medical bills on top of the high monthly premiums.

So, when we found CHM, we were really excited at their options.  CHM has paid for nearly 100% of our medical bills (including sending us a check for over $30,000 to pay for every single penny of my emergency ectopic surgery).
